Lions Club members from across West Central Illinois gathered Saturday to exchange ideas and present awards.

The Lions Club Convention was held at the Rock Island Holiday Inn.

“You wish to pay it forward. Not expecting anything back, none of us do,” said Alwood Lions Club member, Marty Cranell.

The group is the world’s largest service organization. They conduct hearing and vision screening across the area, provide dictionaries to students and engage in other community service projects.
