Weather conditions prompted Iowa state police to ban towing vehicles on roads in several Iowa counties.
Trooper Dan Loussaert of the Iowa State Patrol said the tow ban is in effect for Scott, Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine, Jackson and Jones counties.
“This means only police officers and dot can call for vehicles to be towed if they are a hazard to traffic,” Loussaert said. “All other vehicles will be left until the road and weather conditions improve for the safety of everyone.”
