River Bandits hiring for 2013 season

The River Bandits are looking for employees to fill some open positions this season and are also searching for talented performers to entertain fans at home games.
Job Fair

A local team is looking to hire Quad City residents.

According to a River Bandits spokesperson, the team will be hosting a job fair in search of game day staff and food and beverage positions.

Listed below are the open positions offered by the River Bandits and Professional Sports Catering:

Customer Service

  • Ushers
  • Retail Store Employees
  • Ticket Takers
  • Box Office Employees
  • In-Game Entertainer

Concessions

  • Portable Stand Managers
  • Warehouse Employees
  • Hawkers
  • Cash Managers
  • Concession Runners
  • Picnic Servers
  • Pizza Maker
  • Concession Cook
  • Cashiers

The ballpark job fair is on Saturday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Modern Woodmen Park.

The River Bandits will also hold a job fair after the season begins to hire staff for the new Ferris wheel, zip lines and carousel. These new areas will operate on both game days and non-game days this summer.

“For people who love to help others, enjoy working in a team environment and want to have a lot of fun on the job, there are great opportunities to be part of another exciting season at Modern Woodmen Park,” said River Bandits owner Dave Heller.

As they search for employees, the River Bandits are also looking for pre-game performers for the 2013 season.

The team is holding tryouts for National Anthem singers, dancers, jugglers, mimes, magicians and more. Individuals as well as groups are welcome to audition. Entertainers will be performing for fans before home games.

Tryouts will be at the same time as the ballpark job fair on Saturday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All tryout participants will perform their talent for a panel of judges. Throughout the day, the judges will include:

  • Danielle Howe of 103.7 WLLR-FM
  • Dan Deibert of 1420 WOC-AM
  • Mark Manuel of Q106.5-FM
  • Jillene of 103.7 WLLR-FM
  • Todd Alan of 101.3 KISS-FM
