Jewelry that belonged to former Dixon, Illinois comptroller Rita Crundwell is among items being auctioned by U.S. Marshals.

A gold bracelet valued at $4,200; a gold necklace and pendant valued at $1,800 and a Rolex watch valued at $25,000 are among property seized from Crundwell that will be auctioned Saturday, February 23, 2013.  Lots 150 to 298 are from the Crundwell case.

The auction will also include gold bullion, fine jewelry and coins seized in other federal court cases nationwide.   The U.S. Marshals Service holds a large auction several times a year which includes items from several cases.

A preview of the items was scheduled at the Fort Worth, Texas Convention Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.  The auction is set for 10 a.m. Central time Saturday, February 23, 2013.

The auction will be live and simulcast online at www.txauction.com.

Proceeds from U.S. Marshals auctions are used to compensate crime victims and to help fund law enforcement programs.
