The Iowa Hawkeyes will face several must-win games over the next few weeks, and they have a little extra time to prepare for Nebraska.
The Hawkeyes were scheduled to face the Cornhuskers Thursday, February 21, 2013.
Mother Nature changed that plan, though, and a snow storm headed to Lincoln forced the teams to postpone play to Saturday, February 23, 2013.
“The move was prompted by the winter storm expected to hit the upper Midwest on Wednesday and Thursday, and was announced in advance for the safety of student-athletes, fans and game-day personnel,” said Hawkeye Sports Associate Director of Communications Matthew Meitzel. “Fans who had purchased tickets for the originally scheduled Thursday game can use those tickets for Saturday’s contest.”
Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
