Some Quad City restaurants are giving customers a little more selection. More and more are offering the delivery option called Good 2 Go. With just a few clicks of the mouse people can go online and order food from some of their favorite restaurants. It’s a trend that’s becoming more popular and convenient for customers and has more restaurants jumping on board.
Lisa Lewis Garman was born and raised in the Quad Cities. She moved away to a bigger city for a while but returned, “When I moved back it was one of the things I missed the most about living in a bigger city was the ability to have lots of things delivered."
That’s when she decided to start Good 2 Go, a multi restaurant delivery service.
"You don't have to wait around the phone on hold, you don't have to sort through a drawer of menus, you can go right to our website,” says Lisa.
Customers never have to leave their house. They can either call or go to their website and order their food. Then Good 2 Go will deliver your food to your front door. Ganzo’s in Davenport is just one of the 20 other restaurants that take advantage of the service.
"They get a chance to get some different food rather than strictly pizza restaurants that don't have actual delivery service,” says Patrick Puente, Ganzo’s owner.
For restaurants that use it, they say it has helped their business.
"It's gotten a good response, I think from the amount of sales that we get from her, it also promotes us and gets our name out there,” says Café Indigo owner, Andy Gruenhagen.
Café Indigo has used this service for four years and says it's what customers want, especially for those who are on the go, "Busy, busy, busy life styles that people have nowadays like always on the go and it makes it really easy,” says Andy.
Not only does it provide convenience, but it also helps those who need an extra hand, “We do provide a fairly valuable service to certain people who are no longer driving, they have difficulty seeing or they're disabled,” says Lisa.
