Residents along Heather Lane in Bettendorf are trying to put all the pieces back together after a massive water main break.
The battle of who will handled the insurance claims is now the big issue. The city of Bettendorf and the Iowa American Water company are working together but have yet to determine how the situation will be handled.
City administrator Decker Ploehn is calling it a "complicated situation." He is encouraging residents to contact their personal insurance. The city did hand out assessment sheets for residents to file a claim against them in they want.
