Pair bowl perfect games to qualify for state

Two bowlers rolled 300 games to qualify to represent Bellevue, Iowa at the state’s high school championships.

Riley Till, a junior and senior teammate Spencer Templeton had perfect timing when they each bowled a 300 game at the 1A regional qualifier at Dubuque Wahlert on Thursday, February 14, 2013.

Coach Ken Anderson said this is the third year for varsity bowling at Bellevue High School.

Till qualified for state when he bowled a 568 series at the regional competition.  Templeton got an at-large berth for his 459 series.

Teammates Austin J. Michels, Tyler Michels, Joey Pitts, Bobby Schroeder also qualified for states.  The six-member team set a new school record of 3,163 points.

Anderson said the team will compete at the 1A state bowling competition in Des Moines Thursday, February 21, 2013.
