As the proceedings unfolded in Rockford, everyone in Dixon waited to hear Rita Crundwell's sentence.  She will serve almost 20 years in prison. Most people living in Dixon think it's not enough.

The former Dixon Comptroller was arrested for taking nearly $54 million dollars from the city. Over the last decade the city went from a surplus of funds to sinking $5.7 million dollars in the hole.

That money taken could have gone towards fixing roads, sidewalks and different infrastructure projects. The city even had to borrow money to pay bills. People living in Dixon just hope they're able to now move on.
