Theft suspect arrested at Bettendorf casino

Police said they arrested a man wanted for theft in Whiteside County, Illinois while he was at a casino in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Investigators arrested Jackie Ferguson, 35, of Tampico at about 10 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013.

A warrant said Ferguson was accused of possessing stolen copper wire taken from a business in Sterling, Illinois.  He was charged with one count of theft over $300 and one count of criminal damage to property over $300 in connection with the August 2012 case.

Ferguson was moved to the Whiteside County Jail Monday, February 11, 2013 where he was held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Ferguson was scheduled to appear in Whiteside County Court February 14, 2013.
