East Moline bust takes $14,000 worth of cocaine off the streets

Police said they seized about five ounces of powdered cocaine when they arrested a man accused of dealing it in East Moline, Illinois.

Police said they seized about five ounces of powdered cocaine when they arrested a man accused of dealing it in East Moline, Illinois.

Adrian Aparicio-Herrera, 32, was arrested Friday, February 8, 2013.

Police said they found five ounces of powdered cocaine, with a street value of $14,000, when they searched his home in the 2000 block of Ninth Street Court as part of the bust.

Aparicio-Herrera was charged with felony manufacture/delivery of cocaine.   Rock Island Police separately charged him with another count of manufacture/delivery of cocaine.

Aparicio-Herrera was appointed a public defender and was next scheduled to appear in court February 19.  He was held in the Rock Island County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
