Police urge drivers to have Super Bowl “game-plan”

Ahead of Sunday night's Super Bowl festivities, law enforcement is asking everyone to have their own game plan as far as getting around safely.

Super Bowl Sunday ranks right up there with New Year’s Eve for drinking and driving arrests.

Extra officers will be out in force on both sides of the river.

Last year, 18 people were killed in car accidents in Henry, Knox, Mercer and Rock Island counties.

Alcohol was a factor in more than half of those.
