Police said a passerby found wreckage and the driver about four hours after a fatal crash.

The wreck was reported at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 on County Road 1600 E (Basco Road) and County Road 1200 North in Hancock County, Illinois.

Police said 36-year-old Curtis Fleming driving a 2010 Chrysler van northbound when he drove off the road and into a ditch along the west side of the road.  The van went airborne, flipped end-over-end and ended up in a field.   Police said Fleming was not wearing a seat belt and he was ejected during the crash.

A passerby found the wreckage and Fleming at about 6:30 a.m. but police said they thought the crash happened at about 2:30 a.m.

Police said Fleming was the only occupant of his van and that no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
