A local boy is getting special recognition after he used his iPad to help long lost siblings reunite.

Clifford Boyson and his sister, Betty Billadeau, were reunited after 65 years of separation.  The siblings were raised in separate foster homes.

Boyson credits seven-year-old Eddie Hanzelin for using his iPad to get on Facebook and help locate Betty.

Taping 'The View' was an experience Eddie will never forget.

"I was a little nervous when I walked out, but the couch was really comfortable," Hanzelin said.

Eddie is a second-grader at Trinity Lutheran School in Davenport, Iowa. His classmates gathered Friday to watch Eddie's appearance on TV.

"I think it's really cool that somebody would just reach out and do that. Usually, nobody would ever do that, and it's just really neat that my friend Eddie did that for Clifford," said classmate Molly Breinger.

In addition to being featured on News 8, Eddie’s efforts made national news.  His story has been told on Good Morning America, and he’ll be on ABC’s ‘The View’ at 10 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013.
