Good Thursday morning, everyone! Chief meteorologist James Zahara here.
A blast from the past. In this case, the frigid start to the morning with single digits temperatures and below zero wind chills. Temperatures will improve some with afternoon highs not even reaching 20 degrees. Winds will relax dramatically to under 10 mph taking the edge off the chill.
High level clouds will be expected all day today as a disturbance from the Northern Plains slides in. This should bring our next round of snow overnight before tapering quickly by sunrise tomorrow morning. A light accumulation is still on track with a solid inch..possibly two fro areas more north expected that morning. As the system pulls away temperatures should rebound back in the 20s that afternoon.
After another bright but cold day Saturday comes another push in temperatures Sunday along with the next round of light accumulating snow..likely mixed with freezing rain an sleet. I’ll keep an eye on it. :)
