12 pounds of marijuana found in Amtrak luggage

Police said they found about 12 pounds of cannabis in a man’s luggage at the Amtrak station in Galesburg, Illinois.

Robert Murray, 28, of San Francisco, was reportedly hauling the cannabis in 11 bundles discovered in his bags just before noon Wednesday, January 23, 2013.

The 11 bundles weighed a total of 5,432 grams – just under 12 pounds. 

Murray was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis and trafficking more than 5,000 grams of cannabis. 

Murray was held at the Knox County Jail.
