The Miss Rock Island County Fair Queen was crowned Miss Illinois County Fair 2013.
Amelia Martens was crowned at the pageant and ceremony in Springfield, Illinois Sunday, January 20, 2013. Seventy queens competed for the title of Miss Illinois County Fair 2013. The pageant was part of the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs convention.
Martens is the first Miss Rock Island County Fair to will the state title of Miss Illinois County Fair.
Martens is a 2010 graduate of Orion High School and is pursuing a degree in agricultural communications at the University of Illinois. Her parents are Patrick and Annette Martens of Orion.
As Miss Illinois County Fair Queen, Martens receives gifts including a $1,000 scholarship and she will serve as the official hostess at the Illinois State Fair, August 9 to 19, 2013 in Springfield.
