Authorities in Henry County, Illinois say two unsolved gun thefts are a public safety concern.
A handgun and two shotguns were reportedly stolen from the garage of a home in northwestern Galva, Illinois Tuesday night, November 27, 2012. Crime Stoppers officials said a small, tan SUV was seen in the area but there are no other leads in the case.
A rifle and a semi-automatic assault-style rifle, as well as a gun case and a bipod mount, were reportedly stolen during a burglary in Andover, Illinois that happened sometime between Friday, January 11 and Sunday, January 13, 2013.
“Any time firearms are taken by criminals it raises the danger to both the public and to those who serve them,” said a statement from Henry County Crime Stoppers.
