After a courageous battle with a rare form of cancer, Jordan Schmidt passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013.
Visitation is planned for 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 16 at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, 6601 38th Avenue in Moline, Illinois.
A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, January 17 at the Alleman High School gymnasium, 1103 40th Street in Rock Island, Illinois.
Jordan will be buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Moline.
His family plans to establish a memorial fund in Jordan’s name.
“During his short time here with us, Jordan made a very powerful impact. He was full of joy and happiness and lived his life to the fullest, never taking one single moment for granted,” said his obituary posted on the Esterdahl website. “He delivered a pretty powerful message while he was here with us and we will always carry him in our hearts and remember what he taught us by being him. He passed on quite a legacy and the world is a better place because he was in it.”
