(CNN) — The nominations for the 85th Academy Awards were announced Thursday morning.
The nominees for best picture are “Argo,” “Django Unchained,” “Life of Pi,” “Zero Dark Thirty,” “Lincoln,” “Silver Linings Playbook,” “Les Miserables,” “Amour” and “Beasts of the Southern Wild.”
The nominees for best actor are Daniel Day-Lewis (“Lincoln”), Hugh Jackman (“Les Miserables”), Denzel Washington (“Flight”), Joaquin Phoenix (“The Master”) and Bradley Cooper (“Silver Linings Playbook”).
The nominees for best actress are Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty”), Jennifer Lawrence (“Silver Linings Playbook”), Quvenzhane Wallis (“Beasts of the Southern Wild”), Naomi Watts (“The Impossible”) and Emmanuelle Riva (“Amour”).
The nominees for best supporting actor are Robert De Niro (“Silver Linings Playbook”), Philip Seymour Hoffman (“The Master”), Tommy Lee Jones (“Lincoln”), Alan Arkin (“Argo”) and Christoph Waltz (“Django Unchained”).
The nominees for best supporting actress are Sally Field (“Lincoln”), Amy Adams (“The Master”), Anne Hathaway (“Les Miserables”), Helen Hunt (“The Sessions”) and Jacki Weaver (“Silver Linings Playbook”).
The nominees for best director are Steven Spielberg (“Lincoln”), David O. Russell (“Silver Linings Playbook”), Ang Lee (“Life of Pi”), Michael Haneke (“Amour”) and Benh Zeitlin (“Beasts of the Southern Wild”).
The nominations were announced by Seth MacFarlane and Emma Stone. MacFarlane, the “Family Guy” mastermind who wrote and directed the hit “Ted,” will host the Oscars, which are scheduled for February 24 on ABC.
The show will air from the Dolby Theatre — formerly known as the Kodak Theatre — in Los Angeles.
