Monopoly to retire a game piece

If you have a favorite game piece when you play Monopoly, you have until February 5 to help prevent that piece from being retired.

Monopoly is putting their iconic game pieces up for a vote, and the one with the fewest votes will be replaced with a new game piece.  Forever.

Monopoly lovers can cast their vote every day to save the Scottie dog, iron, race car, battleship, shoe, thimble, top hat or wheelbarrow. 

You can also vote for the piece you want to replace the retiring icon.  Options include a cat, a diamond ring, a robot, a helicopter and a guitar.

Voting is open on the Monopoly Facebook page until February 5, 2013.
