Alderman Ted Ronk resigned his seat as the 4th Ward representative on Moline’s City Council effective January 9, 2013.

Ronk made the announcement at the council meeting Tuesday, January 8.

Ronk said he is retiring and relocating to northern Wisconsin.

“Working with our highly professional and dedicated City staff has made it next to effortless in responding when a citizen called with a concern,” Ronk said as part of his announcement.

Moline Mayor Don Welvaert will appoint someone to fill the vacant seat with approval of his appointment from the City Council.

Meanwhile, 4th Ward citizens with concerns they would normally take to their alderman can contact Stephanie Acri, Alderman At-Large at sacri@moline.il.us or at (309) 797-9059.
