Some Mercer County music students are spending plenty of time rehearsing as they prepare to travel to Washington, D.C. to sing at inauguration events later in January.
The students say they are both excited and nervous about the opportunity.
“We’re going to Washington, D.C. to sing for the President of the United States. It’s amazing!” one music student said.
The kids have been rehearsing and raising money since their choir director received the invitation to the inaugural events last spring.
Inaugural events are spread over four days from January 19 through January 22, 2013. The swearing in ceremony is January 21.
