A man who survived the initial crash of a plane in Tama County, Iowa has reportedly died.

Max Morrison, 64, reportedly died Monday, January 7, 2013.  Morrison was a passenger in a plane piloted by William Konicek when the plane crashed November 28, 2012.

Both men were from Traer, Iowa.

A preliminary NTSB report said the plane was on approach to land near R Avenue and 245th Street just west of Clutier, Iowa when it struck overhead power lines and crashed.  The report said power lines were buried when the field was previously used as an airstrip, and Konicek had not landed there recently.   It was unclear whether Konicek knew above-ground power lines were recently erected in that area.
