The manager of a Bettendorf, Iowa grocery store suffered injuries to his face and head when he was allegedly attacked by four men in the parking lot of the store.

Police said four men were in the parking lot of the Hy-Vee at 2900 Devils Glen Road when they got into an argument just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013.

Police said the store manager on duty went out to the parking lot to tell the four men to leave.  That’s when the four men allegedly pushed the manager to the ground and then punched and kicked him.   The suspects fled before police arrived.

The store manager suffered several cuts to his face and head.  He was treated at a local hospital.

Another argument outside a home in the 1700 block of Davenport Street led to neighbors calling Davenport Police.   Police said the men involved in the second altercation were the suspects from the Hy-Vee assault.

Tiron Gwynn, 24, of Davenport; Saul Jackson, 21, of Clinton and Demonta Francis, 18, of Clinton, were each arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault.  The three men were each released from the Scott County jail after posting 10% of their $1000 bond through a local bonding company.

Corwin Williams, 18, of Clinton, was also charged with misdemeanor assault.  He remained in the Scott County Jail Tuesday afternoon in lieu of $100 cash-only bond.
