Gay marriage revisited in Illinois legislature
Gay marriage is expected to take front and center next week in the Illinois legislature.
Same-sex marriage advocates had high expectations of passing a bill before the short lame duck session ended.
But, democrats weren’t able to get enough votes to advance a bill this week.
If legislation does get passed in Illinois, it will join Iowa as one of 10 states to allow gay marriage.
