Streets were blocked by emergency vehicles after fire was reported in an apartment building on First Street in Eldridge, Iowa.
The fire was reported at 121 Spring Street just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Flames were reportedly showing from the roof of the building.
Fire trucks blocked First Street near Spring Street, behind North Scott High School. The fire was quickly brought under control.
There were no initial reports of any injuries.
A spokesperson for the Red Cross said four units in the building were affected. The Red Cross planned to meet with each affected family to ensure their emergency needs are met including food, shelter, clothing and emotional support.
