A 12-year-old middle school wrestler showed how much he understands the true meaning of sportsmanship.

Jared Stevens has cerebral palsy but still participates in wrestling at Sunset Middle School in Brentwood, Tennessee.

At his first-ever match, Jared faced seventh-grader Justin Kievit from Freedom Middle School.   Justin is his team’s captain, his coach says, because of his character.

And Justin was ready for the exhibition match.

As any good sportsman would, Justin shook the hand of his worthy opponent.   Then he showed the size of his heart when he pulled Jared’s arm over him and got pinned.

Jared’s dad posted video of the whole match.
