For the second time in less than a month, a Colona woman was arrested for allegedly selling alcohol to a minor.
Illinois State Police agents visited nine businesses in Henry County November 8, 2012 where investigators conducted an Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) survey. The survey determines whether employees at those businesses are selling alcohol to minors.
On November 8, police said they found employees at three businesses sold alcoholic beverages to a minor.
One of those accused of selling alcohol to a minor was Jennifer Bouldin, 23, while she was working at BJ’s at 526 First Avenue in Colona.
Illinois State Police conducted another ACE survey Monday, December 3, 2012. They say Bouldin again sold alcohol to a minor as she worked at BJ’s.
Bouldin was arrested and charged with unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor. The charge is a misdemeanor.
Police said employees at eight other area businesses they visited December 3 did not sell alcohol to minors. Those businesses are IGA in Orion, Shell in Orion, Galva Shop-N-Go, Galva Discount Liquor, Cenex in Annawan, Cenex in Kewanee, Casey’s in Kewanee and Becks in Kewanee.
Police plan to conduct several more ACE surveys in the Illinois Quad Cities and surrounding counties before the end of 2012.
