Monsanto will spend more than $100 million to expand two plants in Iowa plus two others.

The expansion is targeted at increasing the company’s seed corn production.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports most of the money will be spent on projects in Waco, Nebraska and Remington, Indiana where production will be ramped up.

Plants in Grinnell and Williamsburg, Iowa are also included in the expansion plans.

Monsanto employs more than 21,000 workers worldwide.
