The Better Business Bureau says customers complained about thousands of dollars in missing down payments to a contractor who then doesn’t answer their calls.

The BBB has fielded 240 inquiries and closed ten complaints against J&B Pole Buildings of Carlisle in 2012.

Customers have complained that after they sign a contract and make down payments ranging from $5,000 to more than $20,000 the company does not complete the work, nor does anyone answer calls or emails about the incomplete jobs.

The BBB says it, too, has not received a response to multiple mail and phone inquiries made to J&B Pole Buildings.  The BBB is also working with law enforcement across Iowa and in Rock Island County, Illinois concerning the company.

“J & B Poles has earned an F rating because of their failed promises and disregard for their customers and the BBB,” said BBB President Chris Coleman.  “It is the BBB mission to warn consumers so that hopefully, no one else is scammed by this company.”

If you have been victimized by this company, the BBB wants to hear from you.   Get their contact information – click here.
