MOLINE, Illinois – Deere and Company says it will invest $58-million upgrading its Moline Seeding facility near the Moline-Rock Island city line.
Deere says the investment is needed to increase efficiency and quality by installing a new painting system and increase its use of automation and robotics.
The company says it does not expect to add a significant number of jobs, though.
800-workers are now at the Moline seeding plant, a facility that dates back to the earliest days of Deere operations in Moline.
