A local man arrested for a sixth time for driving while intoxicated was free on bond.

Eric Bearbower, 33, of Davenport, Iowa spent just over two hours in jail before posting $5,900 secured bond.  He was pulled over Sunday night, November 18, 2012 after police said he ran a stop sign.

A field sobriety test led them to charge Bearbower for operating while intoxicated.

Online court records show this was the sixth time Bearbower has been accused of OWI in Iowa.

He also pleaded guilty to a public intoxication charge in Davenport in June 2012.

In addition to OWI, Bearbower was charged with making an improper lane change, driving without a valid driver’s license and failing to have a court-ordered interlock device on his vehicle in connection with the November 18 arrest.

The OWI charge is a felony punishable by a maximum of five years in prison.
