Baby hospitalized, father arrested
A Davenport, Iowa man is facing a child endangerment charge after his infant son suffered several broken bones.
Peter Ranke, 29, was arrested November 20, 2012.
Police said they were called after Ranke’s three-week-old son was treated November 5, 2012 at a local emergency room for “injuries consistent to abuse.”
The baby reportedly suffered a broken clavicle, subdural hematoma and possible rib fractures.
Police have not said how the baby was injured.
Ranke was released less than an hour after he was booked into the Scott County Jail, in lieu of $25,000 bond.
