Two shot in Davenport neighborhood

One man was arrested after two shooting victims were found at a Davenport home.

One man was arrested after two shooting victims were found at a Davenport home.

Police were called to a house in the 1300 block of 14th Street just before 4 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 when neighbors reported hearing the sound of gunshots.

First responders found Jasman Clark, 30, in the front yard of the home.  He suffered a bullet wound to the head.

A second victim, Marques Jones, 30, was found inside the home.  He had a bullet wound to the left leg.

Both victims were hospitalized. 

As policed canvassed the area near the shooting, a witness identified Ezra James as the alleged shooter.  James was found walking along the road about two blocks away from the shooting scene.

James, 20, of Chicago, was arrested.  He is charged with attempted murder and assault causing serious injury. 

James was held in the Scott County Jail in lieu of $35,000 cash-only bond.
