Casey’s General Store robbed at knifepoint

Police said a man used a knife to threaten store employees when he robbed a Casey’s General Store in Nichols, Iowa.

Police said a man used a knife to threaten store employees when he robbed a Casey’s General Store in Nichols, Iowa.

The robbery happened at about 6:45 p.m. at the store at 1334 Highway 22.

Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy C.J. Ryan said there were two employees in the store at the time of the robbery.

The suspect brandished a knife and demanded money from the cash register.  He got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white man with brown hair, about 30 years old and about six feet tall.  He fled the store on foot.
