The schedules are out and several teams from our area are playing for the chance to go to the state finals of Illinois high school football.
Here are the matchups, all set for Saturday, November 17, 2012:
1A: Stark County at Stockton, 2 p.m.
2A: Clifton Central at Mercer County, 2:30 p.m.
3A: Aurora Christian @ Sterling-Newman, 2 p.m.
4A : Alleman at Evergreen Park, 6 p.m.
Winners of each game advance to the state championship game for their class.
State championships are set for Friday, November 23, 2012 at 10 a.m. (1A), 1 p.m. (2A), 4 p.m. (3A) and 7 p.m. (4A). Games are played at Memorial Stadium at the University of Illinois in Champaign.
