After 80 years in business, Holland Jewelers in Moline is closing.

Owner Jeff Holland says he’s closing the company to pursue other interests.

“Sales have been solid and we want to leave while we are on top of our game,” Holland said.

The store, at 1833 52nd Avenue in Moline, Illinois, will host a going-out-of-business sale starting Thursday, November 15, 2012.  All merchandise will be included in the sale.

Jeff’s grandfather, Maurice Holland, founded the company in 1933.

“I want to thank the Quad Cities, my staff, and loyal customers for their support throughout the years. This was a great experience for my family. As I’m an entrepreneur at heart, I look forward to the next business adventure here in the Quad Cities, which I hope to announce in the near future,” Jeff Holland said.
