The Moline Police Benevolent Association presented a $2,000 donation to Bob Vogelbaugh, better known as Mr. Thanksgiving.

Vogelbaugh has led efforts to provide Thanksgiving dinner to those who might otherwise go without in the Quad Cities for more than four decades.  This year, he’ll hold the 42nd annual dinner.

Moline Police Officers raised the money presented to Vogelbaugh on Thursday, November 8, 2012.  Their partnership with Mr. Thanksgiving is the department’s new way to reach out to the community.  In years past, they provided hundreds of food baskets to Moline families during the week of Thanksgiving.

Members of the Moline Police Benevolent Association and their families will also help Vogelbaugh and his volunteers on Thanksgiving Day.
