East Moline Police say they caught a man for whom they had been searching since August.
Police said Ajayi McIntyre, 34, of Rock Island, Illinois was wanted for robbery and theft.
McIntyre is accused of grabbing the throat of a clerk at the Phillips 66 Mini Mart at 4149 7th Street in East Moline. The alleged August 23, 2012 attack ended with McIntyre reportedly stealing a gold necklace.
Police hade been searching for McIntyre since the date of the alleged attack.
McIntyre was found walking in the 1200 block of 10th Street in East Moline on Thursday, November 8,2012. Police said he was arrested and held in the Rock Island County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond.
