Illinois State Senator Mike Jacobs of East Moline defeated Republican challenger Bill Albracht to retain his seat in the 36thlegislative district.
With 100% of precincts reporting, unofficial results showed 51,002 votes cast for Jacobs and 42,043 for Albracht.
