Several Bettendorf, Iowa police officers were promoted at the beginning of November.
Lieutenant Justin Paul and Lieutenant Keith Kimball were each promoted to captain.
Paul has been with the Bettendorf Police Department since 1999. He oversees the support services division and has also served as Explorer advisor, crisis negotiator, field training office and crime scene technician.
Kimball has been with the department since 1990. He oversees the Field Services division and has also served as DARE officer, high school liaison officer, detective, shift commander and ERU operations commander.
Sergeant Kent Keeshan was promoted to lieutenant. He supervises third shift patrol.
Officer Doug Scott was promoted to Sergeant. He supervises the special operations unit.
The promotions were officially recognized at the November 6, 2012 Bettendorf City Council meeting.
