Residents and animals escape Davenport fire

Residents and animals escaped a duplex fire in Davenport on Monday, November 5, 2012.

Fire damaged a Davenport duplex and left three people in need of help from the Red Cross.

Smoke and fire were visible from the top floor of the building in the 700 block of 15th Street when firefighters arrived just after 1 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012.

Three adult residents and several animals escaped safely. 

A statement from the American Red Cross said the organization was providing clothing, shelter and food for three adults displaced by the fire.

No injuries were reported.
