Expect some traffic changes on Davenport's River Drive during your commute on Monday, November 5th, 2012.
Two traffic control changes will occur on East River Drive between Oneida Avenue and Mound Street. Traffic will remain one lane in each direction, but eastbound traffic will no longer be diverted into the north lane of River Drive. Instead, it will proceed straight ahead in the south curb lane to the city limits. Westbound traffic will be detoured up Mound Street to 12th Street, west on 12th Street to Oneida Avenue, and then south on Oneida Avenue to River Drive.
The detour is expected to remain in place for about three weeks while multiple sewer and water crossings are constructed across River Drive between Mound Street and Oneida Avenue.
Motorists are encouraged to find another route if at all possible until the project is completed.
