Police said both people who were shot had non-life-threatening injuries.

One of the men reportedly shot at police as they tried to get away. Iowa Trooper Mark Domino was shot in the arm and Sumner Police Chief Dennis Cain suffered three bullet wounds.
The suspects in that incident, 24-year-old Jeremiah Mumford and 19-year-old William Clayton, were captured that same evening.
