With six days to the election, staffers and volunteers with President Barack Obama's reelection campaign were making calls and working away in their office on Brady Street Wednesday night.
Then, suddenly, dozens of members of the press rolled in and gathered at the back of the room, followed closely behind by Vice President Joe Biden.
"Hey everyone!" Biden said, as he came around the corner to cheers and hugs.
Biden, in town ahead of a stop Thursday morning in Muscatine, landed in Moline, Illinois at around 6:30 p.m. and his motorcade made its way across the river to Davenport, where Biden had a message for around 50 volunteers packed into a room.
"On behalf of the President, and we mean this sincerely," Biden said, "we can't thank you enough. I want you to know we know a lot of you have put your lives on hold for us, some have been doing this for a long, long time and I know this is not your first rodeo."
Biden told supporters Wednesday that he's convinced the President will win Iowa next Tuesday.
