Police said they think a 19-year-old is responsible for a string of burglaries to unlocked vehicles that happened over a two-day period in October.

Michael Hargrave of Silvis was arrested just before 4 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2012.  He was accused of breaking into two vehicles and committing a theft.

Hargrave was formally charged with two counts of burglary to an automobile and one count of theft.  The crimes happened in the 800 block of 25th Avenue Court, the 1600 block of 13th Street and the 1200 block of 14th Street.

Police said they think Hargrave is responsible for a total of ten vehicle burglaries that happened October 18 and 29 in the same areas as those for which he was already charged.

Police said in all of the burglaries, the vehicles had been left unlocked.

Hargrave was held in the Rock Island County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
