The Green Day concert scheduled for February 1, 2013 at iWireless Center has been postponed indefinitely.

The announcement follows an on-stage meltdown by the band’s lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, at a Las Vegas performance in September.

Two days after the incident, the band announced on its website that Armstrong would get help for substance abuse.

The band announced on its website it was postponing all appearances scheduled for January and February 2013.  That includes the Moline date.

New dates were expected to be announced soon, and tickets previously purchased for the February 1 show will be honored for the new dates.

“Fans who have already purchased tickets are encouraged to hold on to their tickets until the new dates are announced,” said a statement from iWireless Center

Green Day is moving up the release date of the upcoming Green Day ¡Tré! from January 15, 2012 to December 11, 2012.
