They came out wet and cold, but it was all for a good cause.

On Saturday, October 27th, dozens of people in the Quad Cities participated in the Polar Plunge at West Lake Park in Davenport. The annual event raises money for the Iowa Special Olympics.

"It was awesome," says Sandy Sievert, who "plunged" with the Davenport Police Department's team. "I look forward to this every year and this is my 6th year doing it and it's just a lot of fun."
