Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation police continue to investigate the deadly boating accident on the Mississippi River in Southern Rock Island County that killed two duck hunters over the weekend.

Five survivors, including a nine-year-old boy were hurt, after their boat enroute to a hunting blind slammed into a concrete marker on the Illinois side of the channel. The boy was wearing a life jacket.

One of the two passengers who died was ejected from the boat.

As of Monday afternoon, four of the hunters were still in the hospital.
